Lobster Cup
Posted in Uncategorized on December 20th, 2009 by adminThere were some fantastic entries in this year’s Lobster Cup challenge…Jonnie had a hard time picking a favorite! CJ’s lobster–which she made without the handy aid of a pattern–won by a claw!
CJ and Jonnie were thrilled to pose together and show off the adorable lobster (I’ll bet that’s a pair of words you never thought you’d see together!)
We had a variety of fun things for Jonnie to pick from–Lorrena stopped in to see his oh-so-scientific judging process and get her photo taken with our esteemed judge and the great bags she sewed. Notice how well they each got in the spirit, dressing to match the challenge fabrics?
Kathy’s mischievous Walla Walla Kitty quilt and Shirley’s Christmas stocking gave us all some smiles.
Becky was dreaming of that lobster dinner when she made this great apron (with lobster buttons for accents, of course)…
…and her quilt would make a perfect backdrop for the domestic cooking scene.
Courtney brought us these birds on their woven-look background–quite a fun way to use the fabric!
She also brought in this adorable Christmas quilt, a beautiful way to greet the holiday.
We still have many of the entries up on the wall downstairs–come by and take a look! Thanks to all the lovely ladies whose projects made good use of Jonnie’s favorite fabrics!
